The business environment is rapidly changing. HR has taken on an enormous amount of ‘duties as assigned’ since the beginning of 2020. From a global pandemic to the Great Resignation to the Great Migration, companies are challenged with attracting, rewarding, motivating, and retaining talent. Leaders are frantically trying to find a balance between compliance, pay equity, wage compression, market competitiveness, while keeping operations going and being profitable business. When money is a business constraint, how can employers avoid significantly increasing labor costs? HR is tasked with helping the business find other ways to address workforce engagement and employee wellness.

With over 18 years in key roles at Fortune 200 companies providing project management and consulting services, Tam has delivered value-added results in large multi-national and global organizations. She has been adjunct faculty at the University of Houston-Clear Lake campus as well as University of Houston Downtown campus. Tam advises senior leaders both domestically and internationally in the areas of strategic human capital management, global compensation & benefits, HR information systems & data management, and mergers & acquisitions.
